The brief was to shoot the first live gig during the 2020 lockdown whilst maintaining social distancing with no crowd! The result was Laura Marling at The Union Chapel, Islington, an exquisite piece of performance art.
This four camera live-streamed event attracted over 2000 people on a pay per view YouTube channel to this 900 seater venue, the start of the new normal for gigs?

Christmas 2020 was approaching, got a call to go and spend 5 days "bubbling up" with some amazingly creative people to help create 3 live shows, across 3 time zones, 11 cameras, 3D live tracking camera with holograms of Elton John, Beck, J-Peg Mafia and real life Peter Hook & Kano. All done whilst maintaining 2 metres distance; still close enough to get shouted at by Damon Albarn though!!!
Production Company: BBC Creative
Director: Martin Parr
Producer: Rachel Roberts
On this job, a series of BBC One's main idents, I had the pleasure of working with Martin Parr, world renowned photographer, a major influence on my career and an all round lovely man! Seemingly straight forward series of idents of normal, everyday groups gathering for a family portrait celebrating "Oneness" turned out to be quite tricky. Non-actors, in front of camera for the first time, took some cajoling to get each performance but the end product turned out lovely.

A factually led 8-part documentary. I worked on the reconstruction scenes shot in Portugal. Due to the subject matter these proved to be very challenging to shoot. What has been created will hopefully help in finding a resolution to the case.

Sam Pilling's Sky F1 promo had me shouting at 26 horses as they ran around Silvestone whilst smoke machines puffed, drones flew & the Russian Arm's wheels spun after them...what could possibly go wrong?
Nothing, apart from some beautiful imagery!

Sam Pilling leading us all on a journey through the hills of Romania whilst I had to wrangle spinning train carriages, 10000 post-it notes & pretend to be an animated bird! Great work if you can get it!

Another one of the Channel 4 floating block Idents. A bit of a re-think on the day for this shoot. It was deemed too risky to use a tracking vehicle and jib arm so myself, the director and DOP found a spot and the three of us shot this, me driving, director in the passenger seat and the DOP strapped in the back.
